The Cliche Story in Real Context

Hey Everyone. Here's someone for us to keep in our prayers:

Just last night I got an interesting text message from my friend. Interesting in a bad way. It said,

My Dads not coming back... ever.

Well, at first I was sure my friend's, who I'll nickname Shimmer, Dad was dead. It seemed pretty much like what it said. But, after questioning her further, I learned the true story, which is completely heartbreaking.

My friend Shimmer's father had left them, but that on it's own couldn't be enough.

Ever since Shimmer had been 7, her father had been cheating on her mother. It started out innocent enough. Her dad wanted to be famous, and he was pretty good at playing the guitar. He started going to bars and such.

Then he met two women, my friend told me on the phone. Her voice cracked at this point- her mother had told her it all just a while ago and it was still fresh in her memory. Well, you can guess what happened with those two women that night.

This went on for a long time before her mom found out, but online, through texts, and lots of other stuff.

She told me this all this morning and I had to get it off my chest. Poor Shimmer. Life couldn't be any harder for her right now.
